Help Christmas gifters buy the right present for the gamer in their life.
For the 2008 festive season, the Game web team wanted to help non-gamers make informed gifting decisions. Using purchasing data from the company’s popular loyalty card scheme, it created seven unique characters that gift-givers would identify with, and an eighth to represent a typical member of Game store staff.
As copywriter, I was asked to provide speech bubbles that would sound authentic to each character, while also making it clear to customers exactly what the character represented.
The characters and copy were then used in a Quick Gift Guide micro site which was promoted heavily during the 2008 Christmas period.
