Objective
Introduce the Rock Pose competition and encourage customers to enter it.
Background
To promote the launch of Guitar Hero 3, publisher Activision gave Game a real Guitar Hero branded Gibson Les Paul guitar to give away as a competition prize. Game decided to run a photo competition encouraging customers to pull their best rock pose. This video was conceived to introduce the concept.
The work
I worked with the Marketing team to write the competition copy and write the storyboard/treatment for the video. Oh, and that’s me starring in the final piece. (I even still have the braces).
The result
The video was published on Game’s website and YouTube channel, and promoted in both the Game newsletter and a targeted emailer.
