Objective
Make editorial content on the Gamestation website easily accessible to customers.
Background
Limited search functionality on the Gamestation website meant the web team were creating editorial content that users couldn’t find. They needed an on-brand method of archiving this content manually and making it browsable for customers.
I pitched a content micro site with five distinct sections: Verdict (reviews), Hands-On (previews), Features, Breaking News, and Competitions.
When it came to branding the hub, I wanted something that felt authentic to the brand, reflecting the way Gamestation store staff casually chat with customers about the latest games and reviews. “Reviews N Stuff” fitted the bill nicely.
The Result
The Reviews N Stuff hub was featured on the Gamestation website navigation bar, and manually updated by the design team for over a year. It was finally retired when a new version of the Gamestation website launched with long-awaited content indexing functionality.
